Scopus guide

Scopus is a multidisciplinary database and so useful for most researchers. this guide will show you how to use it to find the information you are looking for.

Using your results

Scopus gives you the option to email or export your search results. Before you can do any of these, you need to click on the box to the left of the result that you would like to use. Alternatively, click on All at the top of the results.

To email your results, you need to have created an account and be signed in. Click on More at the top of your results and choose Email Results from the drop-down box. You can then choose what information you want to be included in the email and who it should be sent to.

Exporting Filter Counts

Click on Export Filters (at the very bottom of the left hand column) to export the search value numbers to a spreadsheet. For documents this is useful because it means that you can see statistics about your results such as the most common authors, the journals that published the most results and predominant funding sponsor.
